Takats didn't consider himself a photographer until using an Old Century 8x10 view camera. Each sheet of negative film cost $5.00, unprocessed, and all calculations took place between the ears, not through electronics.
Timelessness with a twist is his goal. He looks to create images that will stand the test of time, both forward and backward. Be it a reaction that helps you stay warm in the height of winter, or enjoying the three-dimensional works are Takats added features.
Takats works solely with natural light when producing these works. He works to stay as true to the medium of capturing what is real, in as much detail as possible. It is his ultimate goal to create beauty and to please the eye.
