How fortunate we are to have the Grape Discovery Center in our town of Westfield, NY.  Across Chautauqua County, western New York and northwestern Pennsylvania, the Grape Discovery Center serves as a protector and communicator of the rich history of this area’s grape industry.  Will you support the continued growth of such a great resource?  Will you be one of many promoters of the wonderful story of how we grow, harvest and process grapes to be used for manufactured grape products?  Will you help to promote tourism so others may discover this knowledge?

Here are some ways you can assist in advancing the mission of the Grape Discovery Center.

  • Are you a member of the Concord Grape Belt Heritage Association?  It is easy to become a member if you are not one now.  Call the Grape Discovery Center at 716-326-2003 about becoming a member.  If you are a member now, have you paid your 2016 dues?  The Center depends on membership and the payment of dues for continued growth.
  • The Grape Discovery Center welcomes any and all contributions toward the growth of the Center.  A number of wonderful supporters have contributed monies toward particular projects that have helped to continue the Center’s vision.  Are you thinking of creating a memorial for a loved one or someone special?  A gift or donation to the Grape Discovery Center would truly be a living, growing memorial.
  • Have you visited the Grape Discovery Center recently?  Have you brought your children, friends and visitors to learn more about the grape industry?  We have this wonderful resource right under our noses and yet we often overlook it.  Come on out for a visit!
  • The Grape Discovery Center has a wonderful retail shop that promotes the grape industry through the selection of regional grape products for sale.  Several local companies offer their grape juice, grape concentrate and other products for purchase there.  Are you looking for a particular gift for someone?  You are sure to find it amidst a wide selection of beautiful, delicious, informational and whimsical products at the Center!
  • Many dedicated individuals have given much time and effort toward the planning, start-up and continued growth of the Grape Discovery Center.  Like them, do you have an idea, a skill or product that the Center could benefit from?  Do you have time to volunteer?   Call 716-326-2003 and speak with Christina or leave a message and she will get back to you.
  • The Grape Discovery Center is able to host meetings, receptions, parties and other gatherings.  School children, scout troops and social clubs can schedule an informational visit to the Exhibit Room to learn all about grapes.  When the weather is nice, there is a beautiful patio area next to the vineyards in addition to a large parking area.  Please help us to let others know that the Center is available to meet a variety of needs.

As you can see, the Grape Discovery Center can provide something for everyone.  You can also see that for the Center to continue to grow, it needs whatever help, in whatever way, you can give.  Please stop and take a moment to think about how we can help each other.  If you have ideas, let the Center know.  Stop by for a visit with Christina, the Center’s manager, any Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sunday from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM or call 716-326-2003.  Those of us at the Grape Discovery Center would love to see and hear from you!
